Studying and Training Visas

Student Visa

We collaborate with alliance student agents who are QEAC qualified to provide comprehensive study options for international students seeking to study in Australia. Obtaining a student visa is an important first step towards accessing quality education and, for many, beginning the pathway to permanent residency.

Our approach is client focused. We take the time to understand each student’s educational goals and long term aspirations. Based on these objectives, we recommend tailored study pathways designed not only to achieve academic success but also to support future migration opportunities.

Student Visa (Subclass 500)

The Student visa (subclass 500) permits international students to reside in Australia while undertaking an approved course of study.

Visa holders are permitted to work up to 48 hours per fortnight. Family members of the primary visa holder may not work until the student has commenced their course. Family members of students enrolled in a master’s or doctoral degree may work without restriction once the primary visa holder has begun their studies.

Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 590)

The Student Guardian visa (subclass 590) is a temporary visa that allows a parent, custodian, or relative to accompany a student visa holder in Australia to provide care and support. This visa is generally available where the student is under 18 years of age, or older in exceptional circumstances.

The duration of the visa is determined by the student visa holder’s age and length of stay.

Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)

Temporary Graduate visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian education institution. The visa allows eligible students to live and work in Australia temporarily after completion of studies from 18 months up to 4 years depending on your situation.

It is a good way to extend your stay in Australia to improve your chances of becoming eligible for a permanent or provisional skilled visa. The primary applicant must be in Australia when they make their application for a 485 visa, and must have held an eligible student visa within the 6 month period prior to lodgement.
